What is the land worth?     First of all, be aware of the value of your land. For residential land, this is likely to be between £15 and £40 per square foot depending on where you live. If you have a neighbour dispute over 40 feet of fence which is claimed to be just 3 inches out of position, then you are arguing over 10 square feet of land with a value of a few hundred pounds. Ask yourself, is it worth letting the argument escalate into a court case that may cost you tens of thousands of pounds?
